The Breathing Space is a Yoga studio located in de Baarsjes, Amsterdam, Netherlands. I worked on this project as a cabinet maker and carpenter for Simon Bush-King Architecture (https://simonbushking.com/) , who designed and managed this project. Inside of an old mechanics workshop, we constructed a “house” that would be the heart of the studio. The house was constructed using pine and poplar with the frame left exposed and the poplar panelling running between the frame. At the entrance to the studio we constructed a platform, a seating area with shoe storage, a desk and two small changing cubicles. Located on the interior were lockers for storage.
